San Francisco, CA (August 15, 2018) – MIRA, the newest community of luxury condominium residences developed by Tishman Speyer, has been unveiled. Prospective buyers are now able to register their interest on the project’s new website. Located one block from the Embarcadero at 280 Spear Street at the corner of Spear and Folsom, MIRA is designed by award-winning architecture practice Studio Gang and will feature a distinctive, dynamic tower with large bay windows spiraling up the façade to offer sweeping views of San Francisco Bay, the Bay Bridge, and the city skyline.
“Reinterpreting the classic bay windows of San Francisco, our design amplifies the dynamic quality of the neighborhood,” says Jeanne Gang, founding principal of Studio Gang. “Spiraling all the way up this 400-foot tower, bay windows create unique spaces in every residence that offer fresh air, expansive views, and changing qualities of light throughout the day.”
The 40-story MIRA will comprise a broad mix of 392 one-, two- and three-bedroom condominiums, townhouses, and penthouses. MIRA’s Sales Gallery will open this Fall, with occupancy slated for Fall 2019. Sales at MIRA will be represented by Polaris Pacific, the West Coast leader in high-density real estate sales and marketing.
“With construction of MIRA well underway, we’re getting closer each day to delivering this stunning new community for the benefit of the flourishing Transbay neighborhood,” says Carl Shannon, Senior Managing Director at Tishman Speyer. “We’re enthusiastic to have the opportunity to once again enhance San Francisco by bringing an exceptional, world-class architect’s vision to the skyline with an innovative, perspective-shifting tower.”
When completed, MIRA will feature amenities such as a courtyard, rooftop deck, private dining room, club lounge, a Jay Wright-designed fitness center, children’s playroom, business and conference center, dog washing station, valet parking for 340 cars with electric vehicle charging stations, parking for 150 bicycles, and over 10,000 square feet of retail at street level. Inside, bay windows in every residence offer sweeping views and create a dynamic façade that will transform the neighborhood with Studio Gang’s groundbreaking, forward-thinking architecture.
Located in the emerging Transbay neighborhood where SoMa meets the Embarcadero, MIRA will offer convenient access to the waterfront, the new Salesforce Park and Transbay Transit Terminal, and a wide array of retailers, nightlife, restaurants, transportation options, and sports and entertainment venues. The MIRA community will contribute to the dynamic neighborhood created by Tishman Speyer’s nearby Infinity and LUMINA projects. The site was previously known as Block One of the Transbay Redevelopment Plan. For more information and to register for the interest list to receive development updates, please visit MIRASF.com.
